Jigatola, Mirpur and what happened all over the country

After the attack and collision in Dhanmondi in the evening, Awami League convened a press conference demanding that political extremists attacked the Dhanmondi office of Awami League by capitalizing the movement of the students. BNP-Jamaat has created the movement of non-political students in the violence.

On Sunday, two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College were killed in a bus accident in Kurmitola. Then the students demanded 9-point demand on the streets. They say that the road will not leave until the implementation is fully guaranteed. Meanwhile, a large number of students came down on the streets after the news of the Awami League and its associate organization's leaders and workers coming to the streets and news that the government was going in a harsh position. Throughout the day, they take positions in different ways, claim slogans. Like other days, they also work to bring discipline to city transport. They check driver's license and car papers. In this, long lines of vehicles on the road fell. People are suffering from suffering.

Rumors, attacks, collision in Dhanmondi
Witnesses said that leaders and workers of Chhatra League, Jubo League, Volunteer League took the position of Dhanmondi Awami League office and its surroundings from yesterday morning. Some students protesting at the Jigatla bus stand were checking the car papers. In the morning, if a driver of a leader of Awami League has to check the license and papers, then there is some debate with the students. Then the situation was normal.


At one stage rumor spread, leaders and workers of Awami League and its associate organization picked up some students. Students from the Science Laboratory then proceeded to the border square. After reaching there, after the helmets on the head of Dhanmondi Awami League office, people of different age groups caught students with the stick. Students take position in front of the BGB gate. The BGB soldiers, who were in the gate, stopped the attackers. At one stage BGB returned to their duty.

Once again, attackers and brick fighters attacked the students. Students of the present said that a few times the number of empty gunshots is heard.

The students also tried to resist the attackers of tree branches, brick kilns. At one stage, students chased away the attackers to Japan-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital. Later, the leaders and activists of BCL and Jubo League chased the students with lathis, rods, ramsas and took position in front of border square.

At that time, rumors of death of four people spread through social media. The students became excited. Many eyewitnesses at the spot said in the first light that some members of the BGB members were injured when the brick kiln was hit by Awami League office at around 4pm. Then 40-50 members of the BGB came out and tried to stop the two parties. At the same time, Joint Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak and office secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap also tried to stop the leaders and workers.

Witnesses said two people were seen firing at the students of the attackers at around 4:30 pm. One of them was wearing a round red red shirt, and the other was green in Punjabi. When the students chased, the attackers went to Japan-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital again. After ten minutes, a young man wearing a white T-shirt was seen firing in front of the attackers. He fired into the police jatola.

At one stage, the attackers snatched the mobile phone from the journalists and demolished the camera. At least five journalists were injured in their attacks. A young man wearing blue-t-shirts and helmets snatched a reporter's phone from the first light. Officials of the government party beat up anyone who suspected it till 7:30 pm. Journalists were also befounded. No one was allowed to take pictures on mobile phones. Even if the mobile phone is used to talk, it is also hunker to put it in the pocket. Some were forced to delete photos (delete) to remove photos taken on mobile phones.

The injured students and leaders of Awami League and its associate organization took treatment at Dhanmondi's Popular Hospital and Japan-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital. Popular hospital coordinator Ishtiaq Sajjadur Rahman said that 45 to 50 students were treated in their hospitals. Of these 8-10 people have been sent to the government hospital. Others have been released with initial treatment.


RM Shimul Hasan, Chief Executive Officer of Japan-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital, said they had taken at least 50 treatment in the hospital. Of these, 13 people have to do X-rays. One has been sent to Islamia Eye Hospital because of severe eye injuries. Two more head injuries were severely sent to another high-dependency unit in the nearby hospital.

Attack on Mirpur
In the afternoon, students attacked Mirpur 1 at the footpath-bridge. Witnesses said that BCL activists attacked the presence of a top leader of Mirpur thana Awami League. At around 11:30 pm, the attackers were attacked at Mirpur 2 on the protesters. The students complained that they were BCL activists of Mirpur College.

Narayanganj and Feni attacks

Asked about the spread of violence in peaceful movement, Professor Syed Manjurul Islam of English University of Dhaka University said in the first light, Not only force, it is possible to solve the problem only through negotiation.
