Students' rally at Texas Tech University
Bangladeshi students of the United States Texas Tech University organized the slogan 'Real value should be given the authentic price, O homeland.' They hold the program on Saturday with solidarity with the ongoing movement in Bangladesh to demand safe roads.The program was celebrated at the university's entrance at 6:30 pm on the occasion of association of Bangladesh Students and Scholars (ABS).
Abdul Karim Rajib and Dia Khanam Mim were killed in the rally as the killing of the road accidents.
In addition to this slogan 'Want safe roads', students of various faculties with different placards are seen joining the rally. Along with the parents, the children also joined it.
The first-class child student, Jaiyan herself comes in a rally with a poster. Where it was written, 'Do not go fast, go slow'. Apart from this, the posters of 'no licensed driver', 'Roads Not Greyward', 'I am Bangladesh, want my security' etc. are seen carrying people participating in the program.
In the rally, the speakers said that in the last one year, Bangladesh could not take any correct action regarding the safety of the roads. In order to stop races or uneven competition in the crowded capital streets, all transport transporting the same route of different names will be brought to the same platform. After one bus, one bus will travel safely at the bus stop and go to the destination, there will be no way to create chaos.
The speakers urged the government to fulfill the ongoing demands of child rights in Bangladesh. They said, accepting these demands, students will have to sort out the road transport system.
At the end of the meeting, ABSS president Nosheen Janadabi sought all cooperation until he was released.
