Tiar Shell aims at students at Jigatala and Science Lab

Police have fired tear shells to intercept and disperse the protesting students. When the protesters protested against the demand for safe road, the police initially fired tear gas to disperse them when they were jigatla intersection.

Today was the eighth day of the protest. And on this day the students got into the science lab and started to control the movement of the traffic there.

After a while, a few students of Dhaka University and BUET joined with the protest students a little earlier.

12 hours 55 minutes. University of Dhaka, BUET and the protesting students gathered in the Rifle Square of Jigatala.

After that the police attacked the protesting students. They used to throw 20-25 round tear shells to control the situation. And a large number of police took position at Jigatla bus stand.

Protestant students were forced to retreat. The situation came under police control at around 1:00 pm. Students escaped from Jigatala and stayed in the science lab. From there, the police threw eight rounds of tear gas to disperse them.

Disrupted students then took positions at different points of the science lab. The situation is normal but the movement of the area is closed for the time being
